Some Things You May Need to Know

What is Tomlinson's White City Cat Rescue?

Tomlinson's White City Cat Rescue is a private organization based in Fort Pierce, FL, dedicated to rescuing cats and kittens and facilitating their adoption throughout South Florida.

How much is the adoption fee?

Kittens: $80
Adult cats: $0 - $40

The adoption fee covers the spay/neuter, etc. of the kittens through the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast.
The adult cats may be free or we will ask an adoption fee up to $40 to help cover the cost of their care.

What are the adopter requirements?

There is now an adoption application to fill out before adopting. If approved, you are able to adopt.
The adopter is required to take the kitten to the appointment scheduled at the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast to get the kitten spayed/neutered.
The adopter is also asked be to send an update a week after adoption about how the cat is doing & then a month later. Yearly updates are recommended but not required.
The adopter must be able to provide an inside or inside/outside home for the cat. We prefer to place our cats into homes where they will be inside only (unless on a leash or safely contained), except for the former community cats, which can provide great pest control!
If the cat or kitten doesn't work out we ask you to bring the cat back to us or notify us before finding it a new home.

What is the adoption application for?

The adoption application helps us decide if the potential adopter can provide the right type of home for the cat or kitten.

What happens if cat doesn't work out?

If the cat doesn't work out we are willing to take it back or help you find it home. We will do our best to find it a new family!

Does anything come with the cat?

Every cat comes with a small care package which includes a small amount of dry & canned food, a collar, toys, and information papers.

Are the cats vetted?

The adult cats have been spayed/neutered and have received a rabies vaccine. The kittens have been deflead, dewormed, and the adopters will take their kittens to the Humane Society of the Treasure Coast for their spay/neuter, etc. appointment soon after adoption.
