About Us

Tomlinson's White City Cat Rescue is a private, family operated, Christian cat rescue located in White City, FL. 
Our rescue is non-profit & we are not registered. We find homes or rescues for friendly cats & kittens that would otherwise live as stray/feral cats. We also feed stray/feral cats & put them through TNR programs. 
Our rescue mainly offer cats & kittens for adoption. We rescue cats we find in White City & take in feral/abandoned kittens from friends and neighbors. We ARE NOT accepting pets right now; visit our resources to find easy-to-use rehoming sites to list your pet on. 
All of our kittens are located in a foster home. The adult cats are either living in outside or in a foster home.

Happy Endings 2024

Our Lucky Felines of 2024!

Amos - Amos was found as a stray in February 2024. He appeared behind our church out of nowhere. He hung around and didn't leave, so we listed him for adoption. A week later he found a home!
Phebe/Kitty Meow Meow - In April, Phenice, a feral cat at the White City Park, had 5 kittens. When they were 4 weeks old (in May) we took Phebe, Philetus, Philip, Philemon, & Priscilla in. Phebe was adopted by a nice city worker. She was renamed Kitty Meow Meow and became her granddaughter's pet.
Philetus/Obidias AKA Obie - Philetus, renamed Obidias and goes by Obie, was adopted by a family with some of the children below.
Philetus/Obidias AKA Obie Adopted - Obie is the second kitten the picture being held by the girl.
Philip - Philip got sick while we were fostering him so a vet-tech friend took him in. He was adopted by a vet/rescue as a mascot.
Philemon AKA Twinkie/Bruce - Philemon AKA Twinkie went to Operation CatSnip of the Treasure Coast with his sister Priscilla and found a furever home in July. He was renamed Bruce.

Ahijah AKA Abby - In March, Esther, a feral cat at the White City Park, had 4 kittens. We managed to catch 3 of them by hand but the 4th disappeared. Order of adoption & capture: Abijah AKA Abby, Ethan, & Peter. Abijah AKA Abby was captured in May and went to Operation CatSnip of the Treasure Coast. Her brothers eventually joined her. She was adopted in August.

Ethan - Ethan was captured in June and went to Operation CatSnip of the Treasure Coast to join his sister. His brother eventually joined him. He was adopted in September.

Tiger Lily - In June a mom cat and her 3 kittens were abandoned at White City Park. 4 tourist ladies from the northern states found them. Through Operation CatSnip of the Treasure Coast they contacted us and we picked up the kittens. One of the ladies ended up adopting them.
Tiger Lily Adopted - The second lady, the one holding the kitten, first adopted Tiger Lily and then ended up taking the brothers to share with her family! Now they live in New Hampshire! Sadly, Tiger Lily passed away in December 2024 due to a tragic accident.

Rachel/Zelda - Rachel, the mom, eventually showed herself and we befriended her in July. Soon after, a friend of a friend adopted her and named her Zelda.
Rachel/Zelda Adopted - A unique picture😂 Rachel/Zelda being put into the crate by one of us while the new owner helps.
Leah/Mimi - In July, Cassia, a friendly feral at an abandoned house, had 3 kittens who were named Leah, Rachel, and Jacob. The kittens were captured separately. Leah, renamed Mimi, was captured in September and found a home with friends/neighbors soon after.

Rachel/Coco - Rachel, renamed Coco, was captured in October. She and her brother were adopted by a friend's coworker.
Jacob/Pepe - Jacob, renamed Pepe, was trapped in October. He and his sister Rachel/Coco were adopted by a friend's coworker.
Naomi - A neighbor's stray cat had 2 kittens in August. We took in Nathan and Naomi in October and found them loving homes through Craigslist. Naomi was adopted to be a puppy's friend.

Nathan/Gustavo - Nathan, renamed Gustavo, adopted for a man's girlfriend. Unfortunately he went missing in March or April 2025 and hasn't been found as far as we know.

Jonathan/Reese - Jonathan was abandoned at White City Park. We trapped him in October. Because he was friendly and not doing too well in the park, a friend's vet was able to get him into Dogs and Cats Forever in November. They renamed him Reese and within a month or so he was adopted.

Gideon Pontus - In March Gideon Pontus was abandoned at White City Park. We captured him and fostered him until a friend's vet was able to get him into a rescue, we believe he went to Margate, FL. He was adopted quickly.
Caleb - In November or December of 2024 a neighbor's cat had 5 or 6 kittens. In April they appeared in our church yard. We were able to trap 4. The other 1 not trapped, who looked like Joshua, was adopted by the neighbors. The last (assuming it was a kitten) vanished. Kittens in the order of trapping: Vashti, Esther, Joshua, & Caleb. Caleb found a home through Craigslist to be a friend for a couple's kitten.

Vashti - Vashti was adopted through Craigslist. The new owners, at least the man was, were dog trainers.

Elisa/Lulu - Elisa, renamed Lulu, was abandoned at White City Park. We think she might have been dumped from W Midway Rd and ran into the park because a week earlier (late April) a lady said she witnessed a seemingly injured tabby kitten run from the road into the park bushes. Only God knows if that kitten was Elisa/Lulu, but this story has a happy ending. In May we first spotted the kitten and left a trap over night, and found her in the trap early the next morning. A couple we knew, thanks again to Operation CatSnip of the Treasure Coast, adopted her.

Cindy formerly Saffron - Former-feral Cindy, who was Saffron until we took her in, was taken home on Christmas Day, 2024 to socialize her for a friend's relative in Miami. Unfortunately, that home didn't work out, neither did the next home with neighbors. We took her back and searched for a more suitable home. In May, through Craigslist, Cindy went to live as a friend for a shy 14 year old girl. Hopefully that is working out!

Earnest/Donnie - In June we took in 5 semi-feral kittens from a lady off of Nextdoor to find them homes for her. We named them Faith, Hope, Charity, Earnest, & Justice. Earnest, renamed Donnie, was adopted through Nextdoor by some wonderful people who wanted a kitten.

Faith - Faith was adopted through Nextdoor to be a companion for the man's cat.

Hope/Tobina - Hope, renamed Tobina, was adopted by a kind lady through PetClassifieds, despite her tilted head. It turned out she had a sinus infection and worms, along with being a little feral, but the lady loved her and took her to the vet and now Tobina is healthy and happy!

Justice - Justice was adopted through Nextdoor by a lady and her daughter (assumedly mom and daughter).

Charity/Star - Charity, renamed Star, was adopted through Nextdoor thanks to someone sharing our post to this kind lady who adopted her. The lady said Star was the missing piece in her life. Now there aren't any missing pieces!

Hosea - We took these 3 cousins of Faith, Hope, Charity, Earnest, & Justice to find them homes for the lady. Unfortunately, they had bad eye infections so Operation CatSnip of the Treasure Coast accepted Hosea, Joel, & Amos. Hosea's 4th of July photo shoot.

Phillip - Phillip was rescued from a stray mom with his 3 siblings by the mom's feeder, socialized, and taken good care of. His brother was adopted but he and his sisters weren't finding homes, so we took the 3 in. Phillip was adopted through Nextdoor by a nice lady.

Adoption Information

Some Things You May Need to Know

How much is the adoption fee?

Kittens 1-3 months unaltered: $30  Altered: $50
Kittens 4 months and older unaltered: $20  Altered: $40
Adult cats altered: $40

The adoption fees go towards the care of our rescues & feeding stray cats.

What are the adopter requirements?

The adopter is required to set an appointment to get the cat/kitten checked out & spayed/neutered if it isn't already. 
The adopter is also asked be to send an update a week after adoption about how the cat is doing & then a month later. Yearly updates are recommended but not required.
The adopter must be able to provide an inside or inside/outside home for the cat. We ​try to get the cats into homes where they can be inside at least overnight.

What happens if cat doesn't work out?

If the cat doesn't ​work out we are willing to take it back.

Does anything come with the cat?

Every cat comes with a small care package which includes a small amount of dry & canned food, a collar, toys, and information papers. ​

Are the cats vetted?

The adult cats have been spayed/neutered and have got a rabies vaccine. The kittens usually have not been to the vet because we aren't able to afford it &/or there are no openings for spaying/neutering.
